Moving tips.

How to prepare the day before your mover arrives?

Having your items packed and ready before transportation can be very stressful however, the key is to prepare by following these simple steps which can make the process a whole lot smoother.

Items Prep

Make sure all items have been packed and labeled accordingly.
Make sure there are no protruding elongated items sticking out of the boxes.
Check the weight of the boxes is evenly distributed to avoid any accidents or collapsing during the loading process.
All large furniture that has been disassembled should be prioritized and provided easy access out of the property as the larger bulkier items will be loaded up into the van on the day of the move first.
Mirrors, pictures should all be bubbled wrapped, and fully protected before the day of the move. If bubble wrap is not available a thick cloth or towel should do the job.

Access and Parking

Secure Available Parking preferably close to the pick-up location and drop-off point.
Update your mover on any parking restrictions that could lead to any delays or fines.
Make sure all pathways are clear and non-restrictive while moving items in and out of the property
Update mover of anyroad diversions close to the pickup and drop-off spot.
